Boy, 14 Arrested for Attempt Murder,
Ossington Avenue and Harbord Street area
The Toronto Police Service would like to advise the public of an arrest made in an attempt murder investigation.
On Monday, January 9, 2023, at 12:08 p.m., police received a call for a stabbing in the Ossington Avenue and Harbord Street area.
It is alleged that:
- a 17-year-old boy was in a laneway with a group of youths
- an altercation broke out between the group
- the boy was stabbed
- he was transported to hospital with life-threatening injuries and is currently in stable condition
On Friday, January 20, 2023, officers identified and arrested the person responsible for the stabbing.
A 14-year-old boy was charged with:
- Attempt Murder
- Aggravated Assault
- Assault with a Weapon
- Carrying Concealed Weapon
- Possession of a Weapon
- Fail to Comply with Release Order
- two counts of Possession of a Schedule 1 Substance for the Purpose of Trafficking
- Possession of Proceeds of Crime under $5000
He will attend court at 311 Jarvis Street on Thursday, January 26, 2023 at 10 a.m.
