National Peace Officer's Memorial Run,

Opening Ceremonies,
Temporary Road Closures

On Thursday, September 21, 2023 at 8:00 a.m., the 18th annual National Peace Officer's Memorial Run opening ceremonies will kick off at the Ontario Police Memorial, 23 Queens Park Crescent, Toronto.

This event is to honour officers who have been killed in the line of duty. This year 11 officers will be honoured who have died in the line of duty in the last 12 months from police services across Canada.

Following the opening ceremonies, there will be a 5km run.

The following temporary rolling road closures will take place between 8:45 a.m., and 9:30 a.m.:

  • Northbound lanes of Queens Park Crescent to University Avenue
  • Southbound  lanes of University Avenue to King Street
  • Eastbound lanes of  King Street to Parliament Street
  • Southbound on Parliament Street to Front Street

The 5km run is open to the public.
