Man Arrested for Assaulting a Toronto Police Parking Enforcement Officer,
King Street West and Bathurst Street area

The Toronto Police Service is making the public aware of an arrest made in an Assault investigation.

On Monday, May 13, 2024 at 3 p.m., police responded to a call for an assault in the King Street West and Bathurst Street area.  

It is alleged that:

  • a Parking Enforcement Officer (PEO) was enforcing a rush hour route in the area
  • a man returned to their vehicle and was verbally abusive towards the PEO after receiving a Parking Violation Notice
  • the man assaulted the the PEO

Terry Micallef, 60, of Mount Hope, has been arrested and charged with:

  1. Assault Peace Officer

He is scheduled to appear in court at the Ontario Court of Justice, 10 Armoury Street, on Wednesday, June 26, 2024, at 11 a.m., in room 203.
