Man Arrested in Assault Investigation,
Broadview Avenue and O'Connor Drive area

The Toronto Police Service is making the public aware of an arrest made in an Assault investigation.

On Wednesday, May 29, 2024, at approximately 12:25 a.m., police responded to a call in the Broadview Avenue and O'Connor Drive area.

It is alleged that:

  • the suspect assaulted the victim in a residence
  • the suspect then stole a 2022 grey Honda Pilot with the Ontario license plate CPZH354 and fled the area
  • the suspect and victim are known to each other

On Wednesday, May 29, 2024, Wray Eugene Anness, 29, of no fixed address, was arrested and charged with:

  • two counts of Assault
  • Forcible Confinement
  • Assault/Choking
  • Pointing Firearm
  • Carry Concealed Weapon
  • Possession of Property Obtained by Crime Over $5000
  • two counts of Fail to Comply with Probation

He is scheduled to appear in court at the Toronto Regional Bail Centre, 2201 Finch Avenue West, on Thursday, May 30, 2024, at 10 a.m., in room 403.
