Public Assistance Sought in Aggravated Assault investigation,
Eglinton Avenue East and Markham Road area,
Man arrested and woman wanted

The Toronto Police Service is requesting the public’s assistance in an aggravated assault investigation.

It is alleged that:

  • on Tuesday, September 20, 2022, at approximately 5 a.m., a 42-year-old man was assaulted with a knife in the Eglinton Avenue East and Markham Road area
  • he sustained injuries and was transported to hospital
  • a man and woman left the apartment

On Thursday, September 27, 2022, Mohamed Abdihakim, then 38, of Toronto, was arrested and charged with:

  1. Aggravated Assault

He is scheduled to appear in court at 1911 Eglinton Avenue East on Wednesday, November 30, 2022, 2 p.m., room 407.

A woman is still outstanding. She is described as in her early 20's with brown and blonde hair and was seen wearing a black shirt, black sweater, black shorts and carrying a brown handbag.
