Be Aware of Holiday Parking Regulations

Parking Enforcement

Torontonians are being reminded that most parking regulations will be in effect and enforced during the upcoming public holidays but there are some exemptions.

The following offences will not be enforced on Christmas Day (Friday December 25, 2015), Boxing Day (Saturday December 26, 2015), and New Year's Day (Friday January 1, 2016)), as by-law exemptions are in effect:

  • No Stopping and No Parking Rush Hour Route offences
  • No Stopping and No Parking Rush Hour Routes where signs indicate a time period (ex. 3pm -7pm) and also indicate Monday to Friday
  • No Stopping and No Standing offences where signs stipulate: Except Public Holidays
Payment is not required at on-street parking meters and pay-and-display machines on statutory holidays

Keep in mind enforcement of all parking regulations will continue and that the exemptions only apply to the three statutory holidays and not Monday, December 28, 2015.
