Bursaries Available for 31 Division Students

Identifying youth education and employment as priorities, the 31 Division Community Police Liaison Committee (CPL) is offering eight bursaries worth $1,000 each to secondary school students in the Division.

Grade 12 Students from Downsview Secondary, Westview Secondary, Monsignor Fraser, James Cardinal McGuigan, St Basil-the-Great College School, C.W Jefferys Collegiate, Emery Collegiate and Madonna Catholic Secondary can apply for the academic prizes.

To be eligible, they have to be a Canadian citizen, permanent resident or protected person, reside in the 31 Division boundaries and receive acceptance to a certificate program, part-time undergraduate degree program or full-time undergraduate degree program in the 2022-2023 academic year.

They also have to be active in their community and demonstrate financial need.

Students must provide a personal statement of up to 500 words, two reference letters, a resume and proof of acceptance and enrolment to a post-secondary program/training institute and a transcript/credit counselling summary.
