TPS Facilities Temporarily Closed to Public

In response to increasing concerns about the Omicron variant of COVID-19, the Toronto Police Service will temporarily close all police facilities to the public, effective on Friday, December 17, 2021 at 7:00 a.m., until further notice.

Several online services are available and the public may continue to contact their local Divisions or our non-emergency line at 416-808-2222 for assistance. As always, anyone in an emergency should always call 9-1-1.

The closure does not apply to anyone who is attending a Toronto Police Service facility for the purpose of providing fingerprints. You will be screened upon arrival and, if necessary, your appointment will be rescheduled at that time.

Reporting Crime Online

You can use our Online Reporting System for incidents such as Damage to Vehicle or Property under $5,000, Driving or Parking Complaints, Traffic Issues or Concerns, Graffiti, or Theft or Fraud Under $5,000‬.‬‬‬‬‬‬


Records Release and Vulnerable Sector Checks

Until further notice, all Criminal Record Checks and Criminal Record and Judicial Matters Checks must be submitted online. For more information visit theBackground Checks webpage.

Exceptions will be made for those requiring a Vulnerable Sector Screening under emergency circumstances. Please find information online on our Vulnerable Sector Screening Process page, by calling 416-808-8244, or by email at [email protected].


Picking Up Property

The Property Unit is closed to the public until further notice. Services will continue to be provided to the public, over the phone, by calling 416-808-3750 between 7 a.m. and 7 p.m.
