Unidentified Nearly 18 years

52 Division
The Missing Person Unit is asking the public to help identify a man who was found dead nearly 18 years earlier.

On December 12, 2000, the remains of an unidentified male were discovered at the Dundas Subway Station.

He is described as white, 30 to 50 years old, 5’6”, 152 lbs. with grey eyes, brown hair (balding) and short reddish moustache. The deceased had a collection of tattoos, including a heart on his upper lateral arm, a heart with two arrows on the right forearm, a cross on the left shoulder and on his left forearm, a cross with dots on his right lower forearm and on his upper arm and a square on his lower left forearm.

The man was wearing a sports jacket with the name “Tony Pass Oct 4/88” on the collar and “Habberlins” on the tag, a red long-sleeve shirt, a white golf shirt with the logo “Owen Sound Golf Classic 99” on the front, a pair of brown/tan-coloured pants, a pair of white sweat socks, a pair of blue boxers and a pair of dress shoes.

His personal effects included a Playdium card.

“We are revisiting the image to see if we can identify who this person is,” said D/Const. Joel Manherz.

With assistance from the Ontario Provincial Police, the province’s pathologist office recently undertook to have another artist rendition done of the deceased with the hope that it will help someone recognize him and bring closure to his family and the investigation.

“They are going back through all their old cases and getting some of the images re-done to see if what they come up with better resembles what this person looked like when they were alive,” said Manherz. “Hopefully, someone will identify him and come forward to tell us who that individual is.”
