The Victim Witness Support Coordinator is a central information portal, providing both internal and external resources for support. This was created to provide the best and most reliable links to resources for victims and witnesses of crime. It is continually updated with the most current and up to date information to assist victims and witnesses of crime.

The Toronto Police Service partnered in an initiative to improve the process of the notification of victims in regards to offenders being reintegrated into society. This initiative was in collaboration with Justice Partners, Victim Witness Assistance Program, Centre for Addictions and Mental Health (CAMH) and other community agencies.

The Victim Witness Support Coordinator role is extremely important to extreme events that have significant impact on the community. To ensure that this role is embedded within the TPS Incident Management Teams, the Victim Witness Support Coordinator in collaboration with Emergency Management and Public Order (EMPO) are working together to design a coordinated victim support response to deal with such an event.
