S/Supt. Kim Yeandle Acting Deputy Chief Community Safety Command

As a senior police leader with the largest municipal police service in Canada, A/Deputy Chief Kim Yeandle is currently in charge of Community Safety Command which provides proactive and reactive public safety services and programs in partnership with diverse communities and key stakeholders. As A/Deputy Chief, Kim is responsible for all front line policing and oversees 12 districts consisting of 16 divisions in the City. She is also in charge of Field Services which encompasses the Toronto Police Operations Centre, Communications Services, Traffic Services, Parking Enforcement, Public Safety Response Team and the Community Partnerships & Engagement Unit.
Kim has acquired an extensive variety of professional experiences spanning over 34 years of policing with the Toronto Police Service.  Kim has an extensive background in uniform policing, specialized operations, professional standards, and program/project management.

Kim has a strong incident command background specializing in emergency response and is a qualified incident commander.  She has vast experience in managing large demonstrations, critical incidents such as fires, explosions, and security threats, and events such as the Pan-Am Games, the Invictus Games, and the National Basketball Association (NBA) All-Star weekend.
