2026 Sporting Life 10km Run/Walk,
Sunday, May 10, 2026,
Road Closures
On Sunday, May 10, 2026, Canada Running Series will be hosting their Annual Sporting Life 10K Run. The organizers are expecting approximately 21,500 runners to participate in the run.
At 4 a.m., the following road closures will begin in preparation for the event:
- Yonge Street between Lawrence Avenue and Eglinton Avenue
- Front Street between Trinity Street and Bayview Street
- Cherry Street between Eastern Avenue and Mill Street
- Bayview Avenue between River Street and Front Street
At 6:30 a.m., the following additional road closures will commence:
- Yonge Street between Eglinton Avenue and Front Street
- Front Street between Yonge Street and Trinity Street
- Eastern Avenue between Front Street and Trinity Street
On Saturday, May 9, at 7 a.m., until Sunday, May 10, at 5 p.m., the following additional road closures will commence:
- Bayview Avenue between Front Street to Mill Street
- Mill Street between Tannery Road to Bayview Avenue
The 10K race commences at 7:30 a.m. The start line is located at Yonge Street and Glengrove Avenue.
The race route is as follows:
- Southbound on Yonge Street from Glengrove Avenue to Front Street
- Eastbound on Front Street from Yonge Street to Cherry Street
Runners will finish on Front Street at Cherry Street and then make their way to Corktown Common for the Post-Event party.
Toronto Transit Commission – Diversions
- Numerous routes will be diverted due to this event.
Motorists are advised to avoid the area and consider alternate routes of travel.
