On Thursday, July 30, 2026, at 10:30 a.m., Detective Sergeant Stephen Smith of the Homicide and Missing Persons Unit - Cold Case Section will provide an update on the investigation into the homicide of 21-year-old Patrick Santos, who was murdered on September 17, 2006. 

The news conference will take place in the Media Gallery at Toronto Police Headquarters, and will also be broadcast via Dome Productions and live-streamed on YouTube. Media may participate in the news conference in-person and will require identification indicating they are a member of an accredited media outlet.
