The Toronto Police Service Marine Unit and the Canadian Safe Boating Council (CSBC) will be hosting an event to kick-off Safe Boating Awareness Week on Thursday, May 14, 2026.

Safe Boating Awareness Week takes place from Saturday, May 16, 2026, to Friday, May 22, 2026.

The event will take place from 6:00 am to 8:30 a.m. at the Toronto Police Marine Unit, 259 Queens Quay West.

As summer approaches, the Canadian Safe Boating Council leads its annual Safe Boating Awareness Week to remind Canadians that safety is essential for everyone enjoying recreational waterways. Safe Boating Awareness Week is promoted by the CSBC, a registered charity, with the support of its members, partners, and Transport Canada’s Office of Boating Safety. Go to www.csbc.ca/en/safe-boating-awareness-week to access videos from CSBC partners that can be downloaded by media or shared on social media.
