Six firearms were taken off the street after 12 Division investigators tracked down a man alleged to have pointed a gun at another man during an argument on the street June 25.

“We are living in a time where simple disputes on the street have the potential to erupt into catastrophic incidents due to gun violence,” said Inspector Keri Fernandes. “The officers quickly realized this and took immediate action that identified the accused as well as secured multiple firearms and prevented any injury to the public. We are very proud of how they reacted.”

It is alleged a man was walking southbound on Woodgate Drive with several other people when he became upset with the driver of a vehicle that was travelling in the same direction hitting the car with his hand.

When the car stopped and the driver got out the man pointed a gun at the driver.

Investigators from 12 Division started an investigation and identified the accused.

On July 7, the Division’s Major Crime Unit executed a warrant and arrested the accused.

The warrant led to the seizure of a loaded revolver, two rifles, a shotgun, two prohibited weapons, over 500 rounds of ammunition and a large amount of marijuana.

Dale Todorowich, 50, of Toronto is facing several charges, including pointing a firearm and possession of restricted firearms.
