- Jessica White
Rookie Constable Jessica White joined in 2022, starting her first role as a Primary Response Officer in 33 Division in the east end of North York.
She chose policing after working as a high school student in the Youth in Policing Initiative. The program allows young people to have a part-time job working alongside police officers and civilians at the Service.
"I was able to understand better how this career is both challenging and rewarding, A career that I would be constantly growing, learning and just improving overall," said White.
She felt part of the team as soon as she began having conversations with recruiting officers, right through training and now in her first assignment at a Division.
"You feel welcome, you belong and people have your back," White said, of the great camaraderie. "It's a good feeling to have that you're never alone."
