Toronto Police Service Parking Enforcement Unit concludes Back-to-School Campaign with over 600 tickets laid
The Toronto Police Service Parking Enforcement Unit concluded its Back-to-School Safety Campaign with more than 600 tickets laid.
The Parking Enforcement Unit held the campaign from September 2 to September 12, 2025, focusing on enhancing safety in school zones through strict enforcement and community engagement across the city.
During the 10-day initiative, Parking Enforcement Officers issued 632 parking violation notices in school zones across the city. The campaign focused on keeping children safe by targeting vehicles stopped or parked illegally in areas that create hazards near schools. It is paramount that drivers prioritize the safety of our most vulnerable road users - schoolchildren and pedestrians.
Motor safety is a shared responsibility. The Parking Enforcement Unit thanks the public for their cooperation, and remains committed to promoting road safety and ensuring compliance with parking regulations to keep school zones safe for everyone.
