News Release

The Toronto Police Service Marine Unit, in partnership with the Toronto Port Authority and Transport Canada, advises all mariners that a Lake Ontario Exclusion Zone will be in effect for the 77th Canadian International Airshow from Saturday, September 5 to Monday, September 7, 2026, as follows:

• Friday, September 4: Practice Day 12 p.m.-3:40 p.m.
• Saturday, September 5: Show Day 12 p.m.- 3:40 p.m. 
• Sunday, September 6: Show Day 12 p.m.- 3:40 p.m.
• Monday, September 7: Show Day 12 p.m.- 3:40 p.m.

NOTICE TO MARINERS:

MARINE EXCLUSION ZONE:

• Exclusion Zone: Western Channel of Toronto Harbour and Humber Bay
• Hanlan’s Point Beach closed to all watercraft during the event
• Exclusion Zone marked by yellow caution buoys, deployed daily by TPS Marine Unit
• A Marine Exclusion Zone will be in place as shown on the map below. Vessel access within this area will be restricted during Air Show activities. 

RESTRICTIONS: Daily from one hour prior to the start of the Air Show until the conclusion of the event.

Boaters are reminded to stay outside the exclusion zone, follow the direction of police and marine personnel, and monitor VHF Channel 16 for safety and security broadcasts.

DRONES / RPAS

• Temporary flight restrictions are expected to be in place around the Air Show demonstration area.
• Drones and other Remotely Piloted Aircraft Systems (RPAS) are not permitted within restricted airspace.

Enforcement:

• TPS Marine Unit will be on scene at all times. Boaters must comply with police directions.
• Toronto Port Authority's Harbour Master will issue an official Notice to Mariners.
