National Peace Officers' Memorial Run,

Opening Ceremonies,
Temporary Road Closures
On Thursday, September 24, 2026, at 8:00 a.m., the 22nd annual National Peace Officer's Memorial Run opening ceremonies will kick off at the Ontario Police Memorial.
This event honours officers across Canada who have been killed in the line of duty. This year, seven officers who have died in the line of duty in the last 12 months will be honoured.
Following the opening ceremonies, there will be a 5 km run.
The following road closure will be in place from 6:30 a.m. to 9:30 a.m.
- Northbound Queens Park Crescent from College Street to Wellesley Street
The following temporary rolling road closures will take place between 8 a.m. and 9:30 a.m.:
- Northbound lanes of Queens Park Crescent at College Street
- Southbound lanes of University Avenue to King Street
- Eastbound lanes of King Street to Parliament Street
- Southbound on Parliament Street to Front Street
The 5 km run is open to the public. Please join us in honouring our fallen.
