On Saturday, October 3, 2026, the City of Toronto will host Nuit Blanche, an all-night contemporary art event taking place throughout the downtown core.

The event will begin at 7:00 p.m. on Saturday, October 3, 2026, and continue until 7:00 a.m. on Sunday, October 4, 2026.

Road closures will begin Friday, October 2, 2026, at 12:00 p.m. and will remain in effect until Sunday, October 4, 2026, at approximately 12:00 p.m. 

The following road closures will be in effect for the event:

  • Queen Street West between Bay Street and University Avenue
  • Bay Street between Hagerman Street and Richmond Street West
  • Elizabeth Street between Foster Plast and Hagerman Street
  • Hagerman Street between Elizabeth Street and Bay Street
  • Albert Street between James Street and Bay Street

Local traffic will be permitted to travel on the following streets:

  • York Street between Richmond Street West and Queen Street West
  • Bay Street between Dundas Street West and Foster Place
  • all of Foster Place

The Toronto Transit Commission (TTC) will be diverting several routes in the downtown area during the event. Motorists should expect traffic delays and are encouraged to use alternative routes whenever possible.

Residents and visitors are encouraged to plan their travel accordingly and allow additional travel time when attending or travelling through the downtown core.
