On Wednesday, October 7, 2026, at approximately 6:21 p.m., police responded to a call for a Personal Injury Collision in the Bayview Avenue and Sheppard Avenue East area.

It is reported that:

• an 86-year-old female driver was attempting to exit a private driveway on the east side of Bayview Avenue
• while exiting the driveway, the driver lost control of her vehicle
• the vehicle struck two northbound vehicles on Bayview Avenue and then crossed into the southbound lanes and collided with a third vehicle
• an 89-year-old male passenger was in the third vehicle who was transported to hospital with life-threatening injuries

The investigation is ongoing by members of Traffic Services.

Police are asking local residents, businesses, and drivers, who may have security or dash camera footage of the area or incident, to contact investigators.
