Man arrested for Assaulting a Toronto Police Parking Enforcement Officer,
Wellington Street West and Portland Street area
The Toronto Police Service is making the public aware of an arrest made in an Assault Peace Officer investigation.
On Tuesday, September 29, 2026, at approximately 8:26 p.m., police responded to a call for the Assault of a Peace Officer in the Wellington Street West and Portland Street area.
It is alleged that:
- the victim, a Parking Enforcement Officer (PEO), had just completed serving a parking ticket on a vehicle
- the driver of the vehicle approached the victim and assaulted the victim numerous times
- the suspect fled the scene and was arrested a short time later at another location
- the victim was not injured
Rohan Hutchinson, 47, of Toronto, has been arrested and charged with:
- four counts of Assault Peace Officer
He was scheduled to appear in court at the Toronto Regional Bail Centre, 2201 Finch Avenue West, on Wednesday, September 30, 2026, at 10:00 a.m., in room 105.
