A loaded firearm and a quantity of ammunition were recovered after 31 Division Major Crime Unit officers executed search warrants at a residence and on a vehicle on November 10.

The Glock handgun and two magazines were found in the vehicle.

“The successful completion of these search warrants and the recovery of another loaded firearm and ammunition reflect the professionalism and dedication our officers bring to keeping our community safe,” said Superintendent Jack Gurr.

A 53-year-old Toronto man is facing several charges, including illegal firearm possession.

Gurr thanked community members for supporting the work of 31 Division police offifcers in their work.

“Our officers will continue to prioritize gun-related investigations and will use every available tool to find people with illegal firearms,” Gurr said.

From November 10 to 17, five other crime guns were seized and 34 charges laid.
