Guns and drugs seized
An assault victim report to police led to the seizure of four illegal firearms.
On July 16, the victim advised police that her husband had a firearm in his vehicle.
Located by police, they observed him removing a tote box from the trunk.
He was arrested and officers located four illegal firearms, several magazines and loose rounds of ammunition.
They also found cocaine on the ground after struggling with the accused.
On July 17, police executed a search warrant at the accused residence and found 50 rounds on 9MM ammunition and a quantify of drugs.
“This is yet another example of how 33 Division and the community are working together to ensure public safety,” said Superintendent Donovan Locke. “I am very proud of the work that led to the seizure of four firearms on our streets. This is fantastic.”
The accused is facing 38 charges, including assault and possession of illegal firearms and drugs.
