20th Annual National Peace Officers Memorial Run

On Thursday, September 26, 2024, the 20th annual National Peace Officer's Memorial Run opening ceremonies kicked off at the Ontario Police Memorial, at Queens Park Crescent, Toronto. This ceremony, and Memorial Run honours officers across Canada who have been killed in the line of duty. This year, an officer who died in the line of duty was honoured, along with the names of five historical officers, that were added to the Roll of Honour. As well, Constable Todd Baylis of the Toronto Police Service, who was tragically killed in the line of duty on June 17, 1994, was honoured with the presentation of a memorial plaque to his family.
