Bike Helmet Giveaway at St.Francis Xavier Elementary School

On Monday, April 3, 2017, Toronto Police uniform and auxiliary officers from 12 Division gave away over 500 bicycle helmets to students at St.Francis Xavier Catholic Elementary School. The 'bicycle helmet givewaway' event is now in its fourth year, with different schools being supplied in 12 Division over the four-year span of the project. Officers from 12 Division, Auxiliary officers, along with lawyers and staff of Jewell Radimiss Jorge Personal Injury Lawyers, Access Rehab Inc., with other partners, attended the school, where all students from the entire school received bicycle helmets with approximately 525 given away. Along with receiving free helmets, the students learned about cycling safely, rules of the road, as well as being taught how to ensure their helmets are fitted properly each time they ride, using the 2-V-1 formula.
