Chief Myron Demkiw Annouces Line of Duty death of Constable Marc Pinizzotto

In the early hours of this morning, officers executed a search warrant as part of a high-risk take down in 12 Division. During the operation, one of our officers was shot during an exchange of gunfire. After an emergency run to Sunnybrook, and despite efforts to assist him, it is with great sadness that we confirm that Emergency Task Force Training Constable Marc Pinizzotto (Badge 10049) has passed away. Chief Demkiw and Toronto Police Association President, Clayton Campbell were at the hospital with his family.
