Cops For Cancer Head Shave

The Toronto Police Service believes the fight against cancer is just as important as the fight against crime. That’s why we are participating in our 21st Cops for Cancer campaign in support of our friends at the Canadian Cancer Society. Over the past 20 years, with support of the community, Cops For Cancer has raised over $1 million, money that goes towards life-saving cancer research in addition to supporting our co-workers, family members and friends who are fighting this disease. This year’s head-shave event took place on Saturday, April 22, 2017, at Yorkdale Shopping Centre. Members of the Service and the community came together to shave our heads in an act of support and solidarity for those currently in the fight against cancer. The event was once again, emceed by Maurie Sherman from Kiss 92.5 and Frank Ferragine from Breakfast Television.
