Discretion used in shoplifting call

PC Niran Jeyanesan responded to a shoplifting call where a young man attempted to take a shirt, tie and socks from a department store. After speaking to the young man, it was discovered that he had been going through some rough times and no means of getting the clothing he needed for an upcoming job interview. The officers decided not to charge the young man, and even purchase the items for him, so that he would be able to take the steps needed to turn his life around.
