First Arrest for New Police Dog

With just a few weeks on the job, lighting struck for our newest police dog, Bolt, who tracked down a man who ditched a stolen car and fled on foot after being stopped by 22 Division officers alerted to the car by automated plate recognition. Guided by our Communications Services dispatcher, our officers locked down a perimeter and let Bolt and his handler work, tracking the freshest scent to an oversized garbage bin in a backyard. The man was breaching past release conditions for alleged past car thefts. Way to go Bolt!
