Mayor John Tory & Chief William Blair Address Toronto Police Recruit Class 14-03 at the Toronto Police College On Thursday, January 8th, 2015, the Toronto Police Service was pleased to host a graduation ceremony for 88 new police recruits at the Toronto Police College. In attendance for this special occasion was the Honourable Yasir Naqvi, Minister of Community Safety and Correctional Services, Toronto Mayor John Tory, Toronto Police Services Board Chair Alok Mukherjee, and Chief William Blair. This graduating class is representative of Toronto's diverse cultural community and brings a superior level of varied knowledge and abilities to the Service, including language skills, previous military or policing experience and post-secondary education.
