Mounted Celebrates 130 Years at Grad Ceremony

The Toronto Police Service Mounted Unit is celebrating its 130th anniversary, making it the oldest unit in the history of policing in Toronto. At a ceremony held Thursday, April 7, 2016, at 10 a.m., at the Toronto Police Service Mounted Unit, Horse Palace, Exhibition Place, nine members of the Toronto Police Service and one member of the Hamilton Police Service performed their musical ride as part of the graduation ceremony. In this video, members of the Mounted Unit and recent graduates of the training program discuss the history of the Unit, and the role it plays within the Service, and the City of Toronto.
