On Wednesday, May 17, 2017, in the Media Gallery at Toronto Police Headquarters, Detective Sergeant Mike Carbone of the Homicide Squad updated the media on the investigation into Homicide #29J/2016 - the shooting murder of Candace Rochelle Bobb, 33, and her unborn child. A reward of $50,000 was offered for information leading to the arrest of the suspect(s), and family members were in attendance, and spoke at the News Conference. Background: On Sunday, May 15, 2016, at 10:51 p.m., police responded to a call to attend a hospital regarding a woman who had been shot. It was reported that: - four people were in a vehicle in the Jamestown Crescent and John Garland Boulevard area, dropping off one of the occupants - as the vehicle was stopped on John Garland Boulevard, a person or person(s) began shooting at the vehicle - the vehicle was shot several times, striking a woman in the back seat - she was dropped off at a local hospital - she was five months' pregnant - her baby was delivered and was transported to a trauma centre - the woman was later pronounced in hospital She was identified as Candice Rochelle Bobb, 33, of Malton.
