Project Yellowbird News Conference

On Thursday, August 28, 2014, at 2:30 p.m., in the media gallery at headquarters, Chief William Blair and Deputy Chief Peter Sloly updated the media on Project Yellowbird. In the early hours of August 28th, TPS Divisional officers, along with the Emergency Task Force and the Gun & Gang Task Force, executed warrants across the GTA, and beyond, assisted by officers from York Regional Police and Niagara Regional Police Service. The targets of Project Yellowbird are a number of people police allege targeted high-value homes, stole jewellery, electronics and luxury accessories, as well as associated high-value vehicles.
