On Tuesday, October 2, 2018, at 9:36 p.m., officers responded to a call for a shooting at 4801 Keele Street, an industrial plaza located in the Keele Street and Steeles Avenue West area. Police and paramedics arrived on scene and a man was located with obvious signs of trauma. He had no vital signs and life-saving efforts were started. The man was pronounced at the scene. He has been identified as Dwayne McMillan, 44, of Toronto. On Thursday, October 25, 2018, Jahnoye Carpenter, 19, of Toronto, was arrested. He is charged with: 1. Second Degree Murder 2. Arson to Property He is scheduled to appear in court at 1000 Finch Avenue West on Friday, October 26, 2018, at 10 am. On Thursday, October 25, 2018, a 16 year-old boy was arrested. He is charged with: 1. Second Degree Murder 2.
