Security video of man wanted in aggravated assault investigation

The Toronto Police Service is requesting the public's assistance identifying a man wanted in an aggravated assault investigation. On Wednesday, November 20, 2013, police responded to an assault in the King Street West and Peter Street area. It is reported that: - a 32-year-old man and his girlfriend were celebrating the woman's birthday on King Street West, - another group was celebrating the Tuesday, November 19, 2013, win in the Brazil vs. Chile soccer match, at the Studio Event Theatre at 333 King Street West - both groups, unknown to each other, broke from their venue, and were outside on King Street - while on the sidewalk, a woman from the soccer group fell to the ground and that woman's boyfriend believed the 32-year-old man had assaulted her, causing her to fall - this was not the case, however the boyfriend violently confronted the man and struck him - the man fell to the ground and was then kicked in the head by the boyfriend - the man suffered life-threatening injuries The boyfriend fled in the company of his acquaintances in an unknown vehicle. The boyfriend is described as Chilean or South American, 5'8"-5'10", with a thin-to-medium build and spoke French. He was wearing a "Letterman" or "Varsity" jacket with a navy-blue body and white leather sleeves with "MMXIII THE BILLIONAIRE BOYS CLUB" on the back of the jacket in white letters. It is believed he may be from the Montreal area. Security video from the scene has been released.
