Suspect vehicle released in homicide of Andre Phoenix, 33

On Wednesday, August 15, 2018, at approximately 11:30 p.m., a man was in the plaza located at 1701 Martin Grove Road. It is reported: - the man was walking within the lot of the plaza - a light-coloured four-door sedan approached the man - an occupant from the vehicle fired multiple gunshots at the man - the man was struck by the gunfire and collapsed in the parking lot - the sedan fled the scene, and was last seen travelling westbound on John Garland Boulevard - police arrived on scene and immediately commenced lifesaving first-aid - the man was taken to hospital via emergency run, where he succumbed to his injures and was pronounced The man has been identified as Andre Phoenix, 33, of Toronto.
