Two Men Wanted in Shooting Investigation, 55 Beverly Hills Drive, Two arrests made so far, Video released Integrated Gun & Gang Task Force 416-808-2510 Case #: 2020-1064718 The Toronto Police Service is appealing to the public to help locate two wanted men as part of a shooting investigation. At approximately 11.20 p.m., on Tuesday, June 9, 2020, officers responded to a shooting call at 55 Beverly Hills Drive, Toronto. It is alleged: - a large group of people were attending a memorial service in memory of homicide victim Dimarjio Jenkins - many people attending the gathering were outside the back of the venue in a parking lot near Highway 401 - a dark coloured vehicle that was driving westbound on Highway 401 pulled onto the shoulder alongside the parking lot - the occupant/occupants of the vehicle discharged a firearm towards the crowd - ten people in the group outside brandished firearms and some returned fire in the direction of the highway - the vehicle then fled westbound on Highway 401 - some of the people in the parking lot continued to fire shots after the vehicle had driven away - numerous vehicles were driving on the highway at the time and could have been easily hit with stray rounds - more than 60 shell casing of various calibres were recovered from the scene Two men – both in their 20s - suffered gunshot wounds sustained in the parking lot and presented themselves at hospital where they were treated for their injuries. Through further investigation by members of the Centralized Shooting Response Teams, it is further alleged that these subjects had been in possession of firearms and had been discharging them towards Highway 401 during the incident. Gaddiel O’Neil Ledinek, 24, of Milton, was arrested and charged with: 1. Discharge Firearm with Intent to Wound Endanger Life 2. Possession of a Prohibited or Restricted Firearm with Ammunition 3. Careless Use of a Firearm, Weapon, Prohibited Device or Ammunition 4. Unauthorized Possession of a Firearm 5. Possession of a Firearm Knowing its Possession is Unauthorized 6. Fail to Comply with Recognizance Traequan Mahoney, 20, of Brampton, was arrested and charged with: 1. Discharge Firearm With Intent to Wound Endanger Life 2. Aggravated Assault 3. Possession of a Prohibited or Restricted Firearm with Ammunition 4. Careless Use of a Firearm, Weapon, Prohibited Device or Ammunition 5. Unauthorized Possession of a Firearm 6. Possession of a Firearm Knowing its Possession is Unauthorized 7. Failing to Comply with Recognizance Both are scheduled to appear at court at 1000 Finch Avenue West, on Friday, July 3, 2020, at 9 a.m. and 10 a.m. respectively. With the assistance of specialized assets within the Toronto Police Service and the Peel Regional Police Service, investigators have also identified two additional subjects in the parking lot who are also alleged to have discharged firearms during the incident. Warrants have been issued for the arrests of Terrell Burke Whittaker, 24, of Brampton, and Javontae Johnson, 18, of Pickering. Investigators are actively trying to locate them and urge anyone with any information about there whereabouts to contact police.
