TORONTO POLICE NEWS CONFERENCE re: HOMICIDE #49/2013 Detective Sergeant Pauline Gray Toronto Police Homicide Squad 416-808-7400 Toronto Police 52 Division 416-808-5200 On Friday, October, 25th at 1pm in the TPS Media Gallery, Detective Sergeant Pauline Gray of the the Toronto Police Service Homicide Squad held a news conference regarding Homicide #49/2013. Background: On Monday, September 30, 2013, at approximately 3:30 a.m., the Toronto Police Service responded to reports there was a fight near the intersection of Spadina Avenue and Baldwin Street. Officers arriving at the scene located three men, each of whom had been assaulted with a baseball bat. All three men were taken to hospital, one with life-threatening injuries. This incident is now Homicide #49/2013. Officers have also received reports that this incident may be linked to an altercation that occurred, around 2:45 a.m., outside of a nightclub in the Adelaide Street West and Portland Street area.
