Inspector Roger Forde 2nd In Command 41 Division
Inspector Roger Forde has served 25 years with the Service, beginning as a police constable in 52 Division where he work in Primary and Community Response roles including the Yonge Street Detail, and in investigative roles with the Vice Unit, Youth Bureau and Criminal Investigation Bureau. He has also worked as an investigator the Integrated Gun and Gang Task Force.
As a Sergeant, he worked at 55 Division in the Primary Response Unit, Community Response Unit, and Criminal Investigation Bureau. He later joined the Emergency Management and Public Order (EMPO) Unit with the Public Safety Response Team, where he was promoted to Staff Sergeant.
His additional assignments have included the COVID-19 Investigative Team, a return to 52 Division in the Community Response Unit, and a subsequent return to EMPO for Project Resolute. Inspector Forde currently sits on the committees for the Encampment Working Group and the Downtown Yonge Business Improvement Association, helping to strengthen partnerships between police, community, and local businesses. Over the course of his career, he has received several Unit Commander Awards and a Toronto Police Service Board Commendation.
