Specialized Emergency Response delivers coordinated emergency response through its sub-units.

Specialized Emergency Response is comprised of the following specialized units:
- Emergency Task Force
- Marine
- Police Dog Services
Under the leadership of a Superintendent each of these three specialized sub-units is situated in modern, state-of-the-art facilities across the City. With over 240 highly trained officers, the Specialized Emergency Response unit is capable of delivering a coordinated and effective police emergency response on the water, in high density urban and sub-urban settings, and in isolated rural areas alike.
