RBDC Findings Anniversary Update

One year ago, the Toronto Police Service released findings from its Race and Identity-based Collection (RBDC) Strategy, based on analysis of data collected in 2020 of officers’ perceptions of an individual’s race in use-of-force and strip searches.

For the past 12 months, the Service has continued this work by including other police interactions, analyzing the data, and engaging with communities and its members along the way to inform concrete solutions moving forward.
