On Saturday, September 14, 2002 at about 5:25 a.m., police responded to a shooting in the area of Oakdale Road and Sheppard Avenue W. The victim was discovered inside a vehicle, suffering from gunshot wounds. Despite life-saving efforts by emergency personnel, the victim was pronounced dead at the scene. Investigators believe the victim was followed, while he was a passenger in a taxi, by a suspect vehicle (described as a shiny, white van, with tinted windows). The suspect exited this van and shot the victim while he was still inside the taxi.
