Details of Investigation
On Monday, May 27, 2024, at approximately 1:02 a.m., police responded to a call for a shooting in the Warden Avenue and Cataraqui Crescent area.
It is reported that:
- the victim was shot inside a residence
- the suspect fled the scene
- the victim was transported to hospital, and life-saving measures were performed
- the victim was later pronounced deceased at the hospital
The victim has been identified as Jamal Abdinasir, 16, of Toronto.
