Toronto Police Service Homicide is comprised of a very dedicated group of men and women who are extremely committed to conducting quality investigations, ensuring that those responsible are held accountable for their actions in a court of law.
Details of Investigation
On Sunday, December 10, 2023, at approximately 7:31 p.m., police responded to a call for an unknown trouble at 5 Glamorgan Avenue.
It is alleged that:
- a woman was located with injuries on the ground, outside of an apartment building
- her injuries were a result of a fall from a balcony
- police located the woman's two children, a 4-year-old boy and a 5-year-old boy, with no vital signs inside an apartment unit
- the children were transported to hospital where they were both pronounced deceased
- the woman was also transported to hospital with serious injuries, and remains in serious condition
On Thursday, December 14, 2023, the woman, Vanessa Collias, 25, of Toronto, was charged with:
1. Two counts of First-degree Murder
