Details of Investigation
On Friday, December 24, 2021, at 9:12 p.m., police responded to a radio call for a shooting in the Replin Road and Varna Drive area. It is reported that: - officers located a man suffering from gunshot wounds - he was transported to a local hospital via emergency run - he succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced deceased in hospital The deceased man has been identified as Caiwan Cunningham, 20, of Toronto. The Homicide Squad has taken carriage of this investigation. This is an active investigation and police remain in the area carrying out inquiries to establish the full circumstances of the occurrence. Anyone who may have seen Caiwan Cunningham, have heard, or witnessed anything suspicious, is urged to contact Homicide investigators.
