Details of Investigation

On Saturday, March 1, 1997, at about 4:06 a.m., police responded to a 911 call at 566 St Clair Avenue W. The victim was discovered inside a premises (being operated as an after-hours club), suffering from gunshot wounds. Despite life-saving efforts by emergency personnel, the victim was pronounced dead at the scene. The victim of Homicide #8/1997 (Jerome SANDERS) was also discovered at the same location, suffering from gunshot wounds. Despite life-saving efforts by emergency personnel, this victim was pronounced dead at the scene. Three other people were discovered at area hospitals, also suffering from gunshot wounds at this same location. All these people were treated by emergency personnel, and are expected to survive their injuries. There were an estimated 50 people in attendance at this club, who may be potential witnesses.
