Marine Fleet
The Marine Fleet is comprised of marine vehicles, speed boats, motor boats, and Sea-Doos used to patrol 1,190 squard km of Lake Ontario
The Marine Fleet includes marine vehicles, motorboats, speedboats, and Sea-Doo’s. Together, the vehicles are used on more than 1,190 square kilometers of Lake Ontario. The Marine Unit is also responsible for medical transport to communities on the Toronto Islands, ice rescues, river rescues, recoveries of weapons, and other water-related operations. The Marine Unit works diligently to protect and monitor the Harbourfront, and conducts search and rescue operations. Officers also participate with crime prevention, by-law enforcement, liquor inspectors, and active public education training sessions on water safety.
